This unique project involved TWP, in conjunction with Heineken, using old shop fittings from a Dutch apothecary to create a 'Brown' bar in the Sofitel Hotel, Amsterdam.
The old apothecary fixtures and fittings were transported back from Holland and dismantled by TWP to provide the bulk of the material for the new bar.
We then had to manufacture new components to match the older mahogany parts to enable us to complete the look and feel and make a seamless link between the old and new. This involved the fabrication of new parts and components and distressing the new timber to match the wear of the old.
To complete the amazing transformation from old apothecary to a stunning new Brown Bar, we integrated modern refrigeration, sinks, glass washers, and stainless steel storage.
Once ready to install, TWP transported all the fittings back to Holland and completed the installation.
